Why am I seeing an "UnauthorizedTimestamp is in the future" error when attempting to pay online?

This error can occur when connecting to the secure credit card payment portal during checkout. The payment system requires your computer’s clock to be accurate, and if your device’s date and time are even slightly off (sometimes just by a minute), the request will error out.

How to fix it

On Windows:

  1. Open Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time
  2. Turn on Set time automatically
  3. Turn on Set time zone automatically
  4. Refresh the checkout page and try again

On Mac:

  1. Go to the Apple menu > System Settings (or System Preferences)
  2. Select General > Date & Time
  3. Turn on Set time and date automatically
  4. Refresh the checkout page and try again

If the issue continues

Try completing the paymenton another device (such as a different computer or tablet), since the time settings may already be correct there.
