What does custom imprinting cost?
Check whether a quote includes the cloth, the initial imprint setup, and any per-item printing charges. A lower advertised cloth price may not tell you the total cost of the finished order.
Amcon charges a one-time $35 plate fee, with no per-item imprinting charge. You pay for the cloths and the applicable plate fee.
When comparing quotes, use the same quantity and include all imprinting charges so you can compare the complete purchase.
What is the minimum order?
Confirm whether a supplier’s custom-printing minimum is different from the product’s standard box quantity.
At Amcon, the minimum is one box or case of the selected cloth, commonly 24 or 100 depending on the product. There is no additional imprinting minimum.
That lets your practice start with a quantity that fits its needs without committing to a larger custom-printing run.
Which cloth and imprint will suit your practice?
Consider how you plan to present the cloth to patients. Will you place it inside an eyeglass case when dispensing new glasses? Offer it separately? Pair it with lens cleaner? Those decisions help guide your choice of cloth size and presentation.
Your logo should also be considered at the actual imprint size. Small lettering and fine details may need attention to remain clear.
Explore Amcon’s custom microfiber cloths, then talk with your representative about the options. Your rep can help confirm the cloth, available imprint area, and box quantity so the order matches what you envision.
Each logo is imprinted in one color, with color options available.
Do you need a specific logo file?
Artwork requirements can be an unexpected hurdle if you don’t have your original design files.
Amcon accepts logos in all file types and sizes. Send the version you have, and Amcon’s graphic designers will prepare the artwork for imprinting. You don’t need to convert the file yourself before getting started.
This assistance gives your practice a way to move forward even if the only logo available is the one someone previously emailed you.
Will you see a proof before production?
A proof gives you an opportunity to review the proposed imprint and request changes before approving it.
Amcon provides a digital proof for approval before production. Check the logo, wording, size, and placement, and discuss any questions with your representative before approving the design.
Will you pay another setup fee when you reorder?
Ask whether the supplier retains and reuses the imprint setup, and whether it can work across different products.
Amcon’s imprinting plates can be reused on future orders. Wherever the existing plate size works, Amcon will reuse it without another plate fee, including across different cloth options when possible.
If you change your logo or select a different cloth, your representative can confirm whether the existing plate will work and whether another plate fee would apply.
What help is available before you commit?
A product listing can show sizes and colors, but you may still want help choosing a cloth or understanding how your logo will fit.
Amcon recommends ordering through a representative so you can discuss what you have in mind and confirm the product, imprint details, quantity, and applicable charges. Graphic design assistance and digital proof approval give you additional opportunities to get the details right.
To get started, contact your Amcon representative with your logo, an approximate quantity, and any timing requirements. Allow three weeks from digital proof approval, and let your rep know if you have a specific date in mind.
